The museum holds a collection of all material pertaining to the “Macchina of Santa Rosa” ,
a structure measuring at 30 meters high and weighing 5 tons, which is carried on the shoulders of 100 attendants along a route through Viterbo, concluding at the church of Santa Rosa, patron saint of Viterbo.
An annual event which takes place on the 3rd of September.

The museum sits in the characteristic piazza of San Pelligrino and is hosted by the Sodalizio of the Facchini of Santa Rosa club in the heart of the medieval quarters, and consists of an exhibition space with models in scale of the various machines of Santa Rosa from 1924 to 1955. In the projection hall one can view films showing transports done from 1964 to today.
