The museum is found in the defensive Fort Rocca built by Cardinal Egidio Albornoz in 1354. This permanent monument is dedicated to the Etruscan civilization, their architecture, and their settling in the Tuscia territory, rebuilt through excavations on the Acquarossa and San Giovenale sites done between 1956 and 1978.
Along the museum path, models of the sites are exposed showing the reconstruction of roof-tops and facades of monumental buildings of Acquarossa, furthermore the expressive reproduction of a domestic environment, enriched with furnishings; to note the mosaic with the oldest Etruscan inscription and coin treasure.
